On April 28, Mr. Gaku Watanabe from Mitsubishi Corporation's Sustainability Department gave a lecture on the subject of "The External Environment & MC's Efforts Regarding Sustainability", which highlighted the global frameworks on climate changes and sustainability such as the Paris Agreement, along with Mitsubishi Corporation's efforts for sustainability, in the endowed courses at Akita International University supported by Mitsubishi Corporation, Venti Japan, Hokuto Bank and us.
Active use of web survey tool in this interactive class brought lively discussions, and the students learned in group work session on the theme of "whether the global frameworks on climate change and sustainability will be a risk or an opportunity for Japanese companies." Next class will be by us, Mitsubishi Corporation Offshore Wind Ltd., on collaboration and coexistence between local communities and offshore wind projects.
