Project off the coast of Yurihonjo City, Akita Prefecture

Endowed courses at Akita International University / Off-campus 4th class

2023.05.25

On May 12, Yotaro Iwaki, our Project Director, gave a lecture on our Akita Offshore Wind Project, focusing on the titled subject "Co-Existence and Co-Prosperity with Local Communities" in the Akita International University's endowed courses supported by Mitsubishi Corporation, Venti Japan, Hokuto Bank and us.
Off-campus lecture was held this time at TENOHA Noshiro.* In a different atmosphere from the usual classroom, students discussed about the way the offshore wind projects should live and work together with local communities. Next time, we plan to hold a panel discussion with the attendance of local government officials and the representatives from local fishing industries as panelists.

*Tokyu Land had renovated the former Tokiwa Elementary and Junior High School into a community exchange and industry support space called "TENOHA Noshiro," and we are the partner company for "Projects created by all," a community-participation event held at the facility.
