The demonstration operation of "Machinaka Kosakuru," a new public transportation system in Noshiro City, started on November 1. Mr. Futamura, General Manager of the Regional Development Department of our company, joined the departure ceremony attended by the Mayor of Noshiro City Mr. Saito.
"Machinaka Kosakuru" is a new on-demand public transportation that is a cross between a bus and a taxi. Passengers can make reservations by phone or app and get on or off at their choice of designated stops. Akita Noshiro Mitane Oga Offshore Wind, which our company invests in, is sponsoring this demonstration operation as part of a regional contribution plan by offshore wind power business.
Many people used this service from the day one of demonstration, and we are glad to hear the comment that they are going to have more opportunities to go out.
We hope that "Machinaka Kosakuru" will increase the convenience for citizens as a daily transportation in wide area of Noshiro City.
