Akita Noshiro Mitane Oga Offshore Wind, which our company has an investment in, exhibited at the "16th Mitane Town Citizens Festival" held on October 14th and 15th for the second year in a row, in which we had placed a bicycle-type pedal generator at our booth.
By keeping pedaling the generator for about 1 minute, "flame lamp" will light up and a toy capsule with a lottery ticket will be released.
Those who came to our booth were invited to take on the challenge of generating electricity in hopes of winning the special prize, Mitane-made melon and the first prize, invitation tickets to the local hot spring facility Yuparu.
More than 200 people, including parents and children, came to our booth, and it was such a huge success that the prizes ran out sooner than expected. The oldest challenger was 84 years old! It was also impressive to see the children who won melons proudly showing it off to their parents with their eyes shining.
Many people took the time to look at our posters while waiting for their turn in line, and it is our great pleasure if those local residents were able to deepen their understanding of our business through this town festival.
